Both the school district & local law enforcement are aware of a generic Snapchat social media post that's making threats against schools. This posting has appeared in multiple states. Law enforcement is actively investigating to determine the origination of this source. Currently, it's deemed that the threat isn't credible, and it's not specifically targeting RPS 205 schools. Safety is our number one priority, and we take all threats seriously.
The old bus lanes are now open to regular parking. Please utilize those spaces as normal parking space. Park straight between the black lines instead of diagonally between the yellow lines. Thank you for your continued patience during arrival and dismissal!

Beyer Families,
First and foremost thank you for your patience as we navigate the new school year. We are always trying to improve and grow, same as our little students experiencing school in their earliest years.
Remember the following when arriving for drop off and pickup:
1. Enter the building on the west side of the building, closest to the Peaches Stadium. Entry into the parking lot is one lane. The entry lane is not a parking spot.
2. Upon entry into the parking lot you need to park your car and get out with your child and walk to Door A or B depending on your assignment and wait for them to open.
3. Doors open at 9am and 12:45pm. Doors do not open early due to weather. Door A will close at 9:15 and 1:00. Door B will close at 9:05 and 12:50. At that time all late students will need to be signed into the office. Students have to be escorted to class so there is a possibility that you will need to wait with your child longer if they are late.
4. Exit the parking lot onto 15th avenue. This is a two lane exit. The east side line will exit right towards Kishwaukee Ave. The west side lane will exit left towards the Peaches Stadium.
5. Do not cut through the parking lot to get to the lane you think will get out the fastest. When available, staff will be directing traffic - the more patient and safe you are, the faster it will go.
Please respect the staff that is in the parking lot to direct traffic. We are out there to keep students and families safe.
Remember that as adults we are the models for our early learners. Please model patience, respect and kindness as you navigate arrival and dismissal.
We are all trying our hardest to get the students into the building safely while getting adults out of the parking lot to carry on with their daily responsibilities.

All RPS 205 buildings are closed today in observance of the federal holiday.
Beyer Families,
Do not park in the designated Handicap spots unless you have the proper signage. These spots are indicated by a specific Handicap Parking sign and a painted decal in the spot. If you are parked in a designated Handicap parking spot without proper signage you will be required to move. Thank you!
*Friendly Reminders-Students are late at 9:15 and 1:00. If you are late there is a possibility you will need to wait with your child in the office until they can be escorted to class.
-Please be PATIENT and KIND during arrival and dismissal. We are all still learning procedures. It will get quicker as the days pass!

-Students will not be dismissed 30 minutes before the end of the session. If you need to pick up your child early you need to be here before 11:05 and 2:50
-You will ALWAYS need your ID and Pick Up Verification Card to get a child from school
